Raven Copeland aka @madglasser on Instagram is known for his beautiful vortex marbles. After honing his skills for many years, you can see the detail and perfection in his work - from the vortex inside to the detail and depth in the surface work on the back.
Raven’s work is tough to come by; he makes appearances at local Renaissance festivals and has a booth called Raven’s Glass. I make it a point to drop by the Texas Renaissance Festival at least once a year and pick up my favorite marble from his booth.
This marble was my favorite from 2017: featuring a double vortex made with cane and dichro this beauty is packed with color and sparkles and has a diameter of about 2.7inches. It also has a nice fiery opal tucked deep into the vortex.
